Praise Song “This is the Day” UMH #657
In this place, among these people,
God is worshipped, God is praised.
We have seen the signs and wonders;
the lost are found here, the dead are raised.
We are living the Gospel story;
lives are changed, and mountains moved.
Won’t you come and work among us?
You are welcomed, you are loved.
*Call to Worship
One: We were lost and going astray.
All: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters.
One: But now we returned to our shepherd.
All: He restores my soul. He leads me in the path of righteousness for his namesake.
One: We have heard the call of the guardian of our souls.
All: Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me.
One: This is the gate of our shepherd, the door to eternal life.
All: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
