Ladies Garden Lunch
Saturday, May 20th
Please sign the sheet on the back table so that I will have a close head count. Hope all can come.
A small reminder for you to look at your “Coming Events” calendar because our dinner at the Shack in Jugville is coming soon….June 11th to be exact!!!!! The cost is $10 for adults and $8 for Seniors. We will car pool immediately after the church service as they quit serving at 2pm.
We can tour the two museums they have after we eat if we so choose or just wander the grounds. It’s a beautiful place and we hope to have a good gathering. We will be getting a sign-up sheet on the table soon so we can get the reservations made. See Mitzi with any questions.
United Methodist Women’s Group
This is the start of an amazing time of year – full of busy activities that hopefully are happy ones even as we tire ourselves out! Which brings me to the fact that the Strawberry Social will be here before we know it and some of the older gray heads tire more quickly than we use to. So, I’m hoping some of our “youngsters” in our midst will come forth to volunteer, especially for the “set up” day, the day of preparation, and some as cheerful waitresses. We can also use strawberry donations as we gray hairs no longer pick the berries (can’t get back up and eat too many as we pick! At least I do!)
Hope we get together and talk this over soon.
In Christian love,
Your Help is Needed
As you all know, last month I shared an “ah-ha” moment I had while reading my daily devotional. That got me thinking that it would be nice if others did that also. Do you have one of those types of stories that you’d be willing to share…maybe an “ah-ha” moment or a testimony that is meaningful or warms your heart? I’d like to incorporate one of those types of stories in our newsletter each month. Please see me if you’d be willing to help. Thanks!!!!
